lovingj, tomp and georgep? What they have in common on Labor Day.

lovingj says, "I want Barack Obama to win the primaries."

tomp says, "Nah lovingj. John Edwards should be the one to win the primaries."

Then georgep tells them both, "Hillary Clinton has to win the primaries."

Finally, Jonathan Singer, Tod Beeton, and Jerome Armstrong shuts the ridiculous flame thread down with the following words . . .

MYDD, DAILYKOS, OPENLEFT, PROGRESSIVES AND THE REST OF AMERICA, OUTSIDE OF THE 28 PERCENT OF INSANE PEOPLE WHO STILL SUPPORT BUSH, JUST WANT A DEMOCRAT IN THE WHITE HOUSE IN 2008.

No matter how many disagreements we have as a community and probably will continue to have as the primaries wind down, we are all progressives fighting for the same goal come November 2008.

Happy Labor Day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some things we can all agree on.

John McCain: 100 years in Iraq "would be fine with me."

Just looked over that diary. (2.00 / 1)

Funny during all the candidate wars we sometimes believe its impossible to agree on something.  However, when we are not talking presidential politics it remains highly likely that we agree, as it pertains to the political world, with each other almost 99.9999% of the time*.

once in a while (2.00 / 1)

it's good to remind ourselves the competition  is for team leader .....After 9/11 as New Jersey resident who's home town lost 6 people I wanted to beleive GW BUSH would aginst all odds rise to the occasion, he did for abaout 5 minutes. We may have some legit fears of what kind of candidate or president one of our own will be if it's not our personal choice, but we should be under no illusions what another Rethug in the whitehouse will mean.

Obama! because 51% isn't enough!

and you know what NeuvoP sez... (none / 0)

Gore must run, and we must inaugurate Gore/Obama in 2009 :)

And, Edwards for NC-Gov, Hillary for Sen. Majority leader or the Supreme court.

What they have in common on Labor Day. (2.00 / 1)

Nice sentiment, lovingj and while we are all on the same team, to some degree, the majority of bloggers have taken a stand and chosen a candidate to fight for despite the fact that most A list bloggers have not. They represent few bloggers(voters) in the grand scheme of things.

Let the games continue until the nomination is won! Healthy competition is good for democracy.

Re: (none / 0)

Happy Labor Day.  We all need to fuse together come February or March (soon enough) to fight the GOP swiftboats, innuendo's, sexist or racist crap, no matter who we select as our representative.

Good diary.

indeed (2.00 / 0)

and I hope you don't take my post on barack as a provocation, merely the opinion of someone who thinks very highly of him but feel he's not entirely living up to his potential as a candidate. but I definitely agree with the spirit of your post and appreciate it.

by Todd Beeton on Mon Sep 03, 2007 at 11:23:30 PM EST

Appreciate your reply. (none / 0)

I highly respect your opinion and you have shown an ability to look at both sides of the equation. However, that is not going to stop me from disagreeing with you.  If I have the energy tonight, I will write my own opinion of your assesment.

Happy Labor Day!
